John Carney founded Cheshire Mouldings in 1988 alongside his family, starting out from converted containers in Warrington. From those early days, he set out to build a business that focused on quality, long term thinking and doing things properly.

One of John’s earliest decisions was to invest in quality machinery, laying the foundations for efficient manufacturing and a continued focus on technology as the business grew. That approach has remained consistent as Cheshire Mouldings expanded.

Over the years, John has guided the company through steady growth, scaling operations and modernising production and distribution to support an annual turnover now in excess of £50 million.

Away from day to day operations, John has remained closely connected to both the local community and his personal interests. He has been central to Cheshire Mouldings’ long standing involvement in superbike racing, while the company’s sponsorship of Warrington Wolves Rugby League Club reflects the strong ties the business maintains with its hometown.
